The first time I ventured in to Holden dealerships looking for Holden cars, I felt literally helpless. I thought I could never understand all the features and specifications new Holden cars have without sounding stupid. This was until one of colleagues told me about the Holden Australia site. He told me how satisfied he was reading about the different models made by Holden, as well as the information on each cars features and specs. There is information about Holden Special Vehicles (HSV), a directory of Holden dealers Australia wide from each state, help with car loans and car insurance, the latest Holden news; there was even Holden car reviews written by industry experts. In fact there was so much information on the site I felt like an expert after reading it all. The new Holden technology and Holden IQ system was explained in easy to understand language and I was fascinated to read about the history of Holden from its beginnings as a saddlery business in Adelaide. It makes you feel very proud to see the range of Holden cars Australia has manufactured over the years, and what excellent value for money they are when compared to European made cars; particularly with the prestige car market where the Holden Statesman and Holden Caprice stand out. It was interesting to read the number of countries Holden Australia exports to, and how loved and respected Holden is throughout the world made in Australia. The Holden racing team is part of our Australian way of life with Holden dominating recently at Bathurst with the Holden Commodore. I read how the Holden Commodore is the most popular car sold in Australia and has been for over 14 years with models like the Holden Berlina and Holden Calais. With a downturn in the larger car market Holden is manufacturing many small cars such as the Holden Cruze and Holden Barina with 5 star safety ratings from ANCAP in sedans and hatchbacks; proving that small cars can still be very safe to drive. Holden Australia has spent much time and money focusing on advances in safety and with alternative fuel systems such as electric and bio fuels which they encompass across their entire range of cars, utes and 4x4 vehicles.holden Australia
